My reaction to the assembly, I was proud to see and hear all the Veteran's that were here, it says something that they would come here and talk to all of us, I know what it feels like to have someone you love and care about more than anything... Go off, and not see them for 18 straight months. My brother did that, and he's home, I know what other families feel, always thinking of their loved one that left, if they’re okay, if they’re safe, what are they doing, do they miss home, things like that ran through my head EVERYDAY. Everytime that I see him, I thank him more than he want's me to, and one thing that I'm greatful for is that, he's home. Safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteThe article that I read this week was a teacher was killed in LA & everyone's reactions was pretty bad, they were shocked that he was gone, everyone rememebered him as a good guy, he did a lot for they're community. They also said that it didn't seem real, and it caught my attention because i thought about it happening here. & it's important to our country because things like this are happening daily, everyday on the news there is someone that has gone. Especially innocent people, and soliders.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all I would like to thank the veterans for all they have done in America’s historical past by serving in the United States armed forces, navy, air force, National Guard, or any other branch of government that I may have missed. I enjoyed the assembly because I got to see firsthand of what it means to be an American hero by seeing them. One of them is a substitute teacher that I have had many times without realizing that he is a Vietnam War veteran, another teaches science at this school, and one of them is my Geometry teacher, Mr. Iverson. Even though many of the war veterans that were present in the assembly all fought different wars, they all connected in a way that would have looked like they were friends for years, even though they were years apart from each other. It’s a wonderful sight to see all of the veterans reunite from all sorts of different wars, but one thing that really got my attention was the fact that my generation is the next generation who will go into battle if there is ever another conflict with any country. So in conclusion, I thank the veterans who fought for and protected my country, our country the United States of America.
1) The assembly today was about Veterans Day and what it means to veterans and us. The veterans said that Veterans Day meant like a thank you to them from our country. A lot of the veterans talked about the struggles about going to war. A lot of them said that one of the hardest things was leaving there family and friends behind. The assembly really showed me that these people are very brave and do something I don’t think that I could ever do. I have great respect for people that serve our country.
ReplyDelete2) The article I read was called scrutiny and suits take a toll on for-profit college. It is about how a man named Stanley H. Kaplan who started a business in the basement of his parent’s house. as standardized tests became a bigger part in American education his company became a national operation preparing millions of students for tests. But now his company is under intense scrutiny from congress. The government thinks that his company leaves to many students into debt. This is important to us because maybe some of us will use this and we might be put in debt.

I think the assembly was a very cool thing to do for all the veterans. I think on special days like Veterans Day when we are out of school we often forget or don’t learn about it. So for us to come back after a day of I think it is a good idea to learn about the day and take the time to tank our veterans. I also liked to hear their experiences and how they dealt with doing their job. The men and women that serve deserve all of our thanks and respect.
ReplyDeleteThe Beard Is a Change, But the Self-Pity Is Not. This is the article that I picked. It is about Conan O’Brien coming back to late night television. He has been of TV for a while now after he left his last job because of displeasure. The show was not much different it was pretty much the same. He had a different look now with a beard. He said a lot of funny jokes most of them toward his old job that he use to have. I think a lot of people missed Conan when he left because he was so popular and now that he is back more people can be entertained.
http://www.okmagazine.com/2010/11/conan-obriens-new-tbs-show-delivers-nbc-jabs-abound/
On this website I found out that he is now doing his show on TBS right before Lopez and that he never saw himself working for TBS but is glad that he is now. He took a lot of stabs at NBC who was his old job.
Veterans Day
ReplyDeleteWell I think Veterans means a lot to people cause I mean me personally I don’t think I’ve had any family members in any military, but my cousins thinking about joining the Air force and you know it’s his decision. I just want to thank all the people who are fighting for this country and our freedom; I also want to give special credit for their family’s cause of what they’re going thru. Their parents are probably worried for their Son or Daughter but they kept their head up high and supporting them with every step they take. I think Veterans Day is a special day to just thank god about what you got (freedom). God protects these soldiers and helps thru everything. Listening to the veterans experience before and after the military actually got to me cause neither one of them regretted of they did. Thanks for Everything!!
New York Times Article: Bubbles of Energy Are Found In Galaxy
The article was about astronomers saying they have discovered two bubbles of energy from the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. They say the bubbles extend 25,000 light years up and down from each side of the galaxy and contain the energy equivalent to 100,000 supernova explosions. Astronomers say that the source of the bubbles is a mystery. But one possibility is that they are fueled by a wave of star births and deaths at the center of the galaxy.
While I sat and listened to these veterans speak about their life and how being part of the military has affected them, it was a real eye opener. The men and women who sat in front of us served our country so we could have a peaceful life. We never think about how many people are really affected by family or friends going into the military until we sit back and hear the stories of those who were in the military. Honestly my thoughts about Veterans Day have been and always will be a special day for my family because my dad and my brother are both veterans. Both of them have helped serve our country and I am so grateful for all they have done. On Veterans Day my dad and I usually talk about his life in the military and I learn so much. I could never imagine going through what they do. They are truly the bravest people in this country. Even when I was sitting in the gym listening to the Veterans speak about how being in the military effected them and what they went through I started to tear up because it is just wonderful for people to give up the time they have to help our country and protect it from danger. Thank you for everything. You all made this country one amazing place for all of us!
ReplyDelete2) In this week’s news paper there was an article called Congo Republic Declares a Polio Emergency on page A10. There was an "explosion" outbreak of polio in the Congo Republic. There were 201 cases of people who have been paralyzed, in two weeks and 104 deaths. They are currently vaccinating the entire population with oral drops three times. A doctor stated that they have two hospitals with hundreds of paralyzed and many deaths. It states that polio normally effects young boys and girls equally, killing no more than 20% of those who have been paralyzed. Death starts when paralysis moves up the spine to the nerves that control the breathing muscles. 85% of the cases are in teenagers and adults and most of the victims are male, and the death rate is MUCH higher. The people in The Congo Republic haven’t known about this for that long, only about seven days.
I read the article on the cholera pandemic that broke out in Haiti recently. The sad part about this article is that Haiti, the most poor and sick country in the world, has just got over the earthquake that happened not to long ago and now they have a cholera outbreak that is headed toward one of their cities, Port-au-Prince. What this article means to me is that we shouldn't take things for granted and that we should donate any supplies that we don't use that could save a life over in Haiti.
ReplyDeleteVeteran’s assembly
ReplyDeleteMy reaction to the assembly today was a lot of appreciation to the veteran’s and people who are in service right now. It made me have a lot of colliding thoughts. I gained a lot more respect for them, and I also started wondering whether the military would be a choice that I could make. Hearing stories from them blew me away and the amount of emotions that they expressed while talking was very difficult to understand, it was a mixture of good and bad. What made me think much more was that while I was living without any worries, they were there risking their lives for everyone in this country. I don’t know how to thank them enough for what they have done. And what they went through just to keep everyone living an easy life.
Newspaper article “bubbles of energy are found in Galaxy”
This article caught my attention easily because I am fascinated by the universe, and that you never know what it will do next, The bubbles of energy are unknown and scientists don’t really know much about them but they say that they are big. This makes me think of what could be happening maybe it’s the birth of a planet or a star, it could be something being created just like the big bang theory but in this case it would be much smaller then what theoretically happened then. “And we thought we know a lot about our own galaxy” said Dr. Spergel. That was something that really made a point to me because I think humans think they know so much that they ignore to much of what could really be there.
1) I thought that the assembly that was to talk to the Veterans and about what they do was very interesting. They had many different thoughts about the wars they had fought in, but mostly the topic was discussing how much they appreciate the thank yous that they get from anyone that they see for serving our country. They were also talking about how much they loved serving our country. I am so thankful that we have people that serve for our country. Thank you.
ReplyDelete2) Article: Teacher’s death exposes Tensions in Los Angeles
This article was about a teachers body was found in the Angeles national forest. Students and Staff were shocked when Rigoberto Ruelas didn’t show to work. Once the coroner had looked at the body, they ruled that it was suicide. Students were confused but shocked why he would do this, they said he was very friendly and devoted to the students and staff as well as the school, and would do anything to help. Students started noticing that he was sad and got depressed. They don’t really have an answer on how or what caused him to do this, but many say he was a great teacher and did many great things.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/01/education/01teacher.html?ref=education
This article that I had found talks about how teachers are being graded on their performance when they are at schools. I personally don’t know how this will help teachers teach, but this could make some teachers try harder to make it easier on kids to learn materials.
1. My reaction to the assembly is that it was awesome hearing them speak. It showed us how much they put the line. They risked so much for our country and having them speak and hearing what happen to some of them and tell us how much it helped them in life us as students that the military isn’t just fighting. Which I would like to Thank them for what they are doing for our country.
ReplyDelete2. Article: Republicans Maneuver to Oust Their Leader
This article is about how the republican party is almost taking over the government and what they are doing to make the government. There are people going around telling them to become republican and talking to them about how this would help them. This is important to our country because it is our government.
1) Today’s assembly was about Veterans Day and what it means to us and the veterans. The assembly really got to the importance of why we should appreciate veterans and what they sacrificed for us by going into the war. One veteran said that it’s not just them that we should thank it’s also the family’s of the vets, they are the ones who made the biggest sacrifices by letting the family member go into the war.
ReplyDelete2) The article that I found most important in the NYT was; Driver Beware Deer Collision Peak in Mating Season. The article is about how the deer mating season is increasing car crushes. The greatest risk for a deer hit is in West Virginia, where driver’s have a 1 in 42 (in a 12 month period) chance of hitting a deer. The time when most deer are out is from Oct through Dec.
http://www.ketknbc.com/news/deer-mating-season-causing-more-car-accidents
1) Today's assembly was about recongizing and remebering soldiers and veterans that have served in our army. I thought that the assembly was a good experience for me and other people because it opened people's eyes to what the soldiers and veterans atually go through.
ReplyDelete2) The article i read was about the owner of a small coal mining company who was being abused by a group of lawers and other lawmen because one of them men had a grudge against him. A few of the judges that were prsecuting him were seen on vacation with the proscuting lawyer who had a grudge against him, or they owed him favors that he wanted repaid in the form of making him win the trials. The judges were labeled unable to judge because of their ties to the lawyer.
I think that Veterans Day is very important because our troops have done a lot for our country. They have worked very hard in order to ensure our safety and freedom. Our soldiers and Veterans should be thanked for everything they do. Also the assebly was especially important because it gaves us a irst hand view of what people accually go through in the army and how it effects their lives.
ReplyDeleteOne of the article I read was the one obout a man who cooked over 200,000 turkeys and sold them fro about $4-$5 per pound of the turkey. And he gave 1 free turkey to each of his employees around the world as a thank you.
1. I thought that the assewmbaly was very intrsting and i thought it was inspriational and that we could be a generation could be in world war 3 in the blink of an eye
ReplyDelete2. I did the nazi survivor fund defrauded by its officals, my reaction is that i think that it's rlly bad that the people are taking money from the nazi people so they cant have it.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/10/nyregion/10holocaust.html
To me Veterans day was just one of those days when you get a day off. thats all i saw it to be. but after being in the assembly for 15 mins i new it ment more than that. i learned it was about the people who devoted their lives to our country. i would like to thank all our vets and wish them a happy holaday, cause they deserve every last minute of this day.
ReplyDeleteThe assembly today about Veterans went very well and i enjoyed every second of it. I think today gave a little more apperciation to those who didn't have any before. My daddy served in the army along with my grandfathers so yesterday was an important day to celebrate those brave ones who fought for our country. i wanted to follow their foot steps but i have a physical condition and my daddy didnt want his little girl getting hurt or go threw what he has. Its a huge scarifice and sometimes scary, i have a couple of friends that are leaving and already joined its hard to think about that but also they are doing it for us.http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/generalinfo/a/veteransday.htm
ReplyDelete1. The assebly really impacted me, mostly because I was already thinking about joining the marines. And I think it would be awesome to support our country. And id like to say I did that. And one of the things that made me want to join even more was how one of the men said that once you join it makes you a respectable man/woman. And how much it impacted their lives before and after they joined. Veterans day means a lot, and im thankful for the people who serve our country
ReplyDelete2. The article that I read was talking about the holocaust, and how the jews are being compensated for it. And how some people are just using it as an excuse to get money.
1.i really liked the assembly i think it was nice for others to come in and talk about their experiences, and what they had to go through to make our counrty to what it is now. it was very nice to hear the truth about what really happened and how it felt to be away from a family, and knowing that you could be gone the next day was amazing. it was amazing that they still stayed there and faught for our freedom.
ReplyDelete2.http://www.smellybrain.com/why-do-people-talk-in-their-sleep/
WHY DO PEOPLE TALK IN THEIR SLEEP?
Sleep talking or what is called somniloquy, this condition from several factors including stress, anxieties, sleeplessness, fatigue as well as over eating prior to sleeping. i think this article is interesting because i talk when i sleep so i just wanted to learn more about it.
1) Please write a reaction to the assembly and your thoughts about Veterans Day. If you would like to write this section in the form of a Thank You to our Veterans that is fine.
ReplyDeleteThe assembly was very interesting. I learned a few simple things that I didn’t know before. I didn’t realize that a simple thank you to a veteran would mean so much to them. After the assembly I finally understood why there is a veterans day, which is to honor the veterans that are serving this country. It’s a job that not everyone can do because of the risk they are making. That is why this job is worthy to have a holiday dedicated to them.
2) Please summarize the article that you think was the most important from the newspaper last week. In your summary, please include the who, what, where, when, and why of the article. Also, you need to find at least one outstide link that relates to your paper and explain what else you learned about the topic from the NYT. Explain why this topic is important to you and for our country
Who: Astronomers and the Galaxy
What: Found bubbles of energy that exploded in the center of our galaxy which is The Milky Way Galaxy. It had a huge blast radius and a lot of power.
Where: In the center of the galaxy.
When: ?
Why: This article to me is important because we as a planet know very little about the galaxy and universe that we are in. Every so often we learn something new and it is only a tiny percentage of what there is to learn. Very very little percentage.
Other Article:

I chose this article because it talks about other mysteries in the universe.
Dear U.S Soldiers and Veterans
ReplyDeleteVeterans Day is important because we need to thank our soldiers for serving our country. The assembly today was about Veterans Day and they talked about what it’s like to be in war. They also explained how they formed a brother hood with the people they fight with. One veteran told us how all he felt was the recoil of the gun when he killed someone and going from being a cold hard person then coming back home and socializing with people was hard.
I picked this article about a cholera outbreak in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It talks about a whole generation of people that could be affected by the disease. In the hospital and over all there have been 9,100 cases and 583 people have died. Humanitarians are talking about getting clean water and water purifiers to the camps in hope to reduce the spread this disease.
todays assembly really made me think about how important it is to appreciate veterans. they risk their lives for the our country and for our freedoms. i think its cool how proud they are and how so many people, including me, are so thankfl of what they do/did. i makes me think about joining.
ReplyDeleteone of the articles i read was called "Nazi Survivor Fund Defreauded By Its Officials, U.S. Alleges". its about how 17 people that work for thses two organizations that help Nazi survivors. these organizations, the hardship fund and the Article 2 fund, help Nazi survivors and compensate their loss. the 17 people would edit identifacations, and doctored government records so people who applied could get moeny. they were doing this for 16 years when employees finally started reconizing stories and/or pictures. they defrauded up to 42 million dollars from the german government.
Dear Past, Present & Future Veterans,
ReplyDeleteYou all have taken the duty of protecting our country and we all, as true patriotic Americans, thank you sincerely. You all have done what some say they couldn’t do because of fear, but you faced it and overcame it. You fought hard and well, making America proud. On Veteran’s Day, we all will salute you for your brave deeds. Good job, and God bless!
The article I read was on the MYTH OF GOLD’S RECORD HIGH. It basically states that people are saying gold is at a record high for its value while they didn’t take in account of inflation. What gold is really worth is 2/5 of stated value.
http://www.cnbc.com/id/40107439
This topic is important to our country because it is giving a false sense of hope for our economy to people who don’t know the system.
1. Today during the assembly I felt as though I had real hereos sitting in front of me. People who risk there lives to protect me, and our country. I was really moved today hearing the stories of the veterans. It really made me motivated to do something good for someone else, no matter what it may be. I just want to know how they came to the conclusion knowing that in the back of there head they might not come home to see there family ever again. I don't think I would ever to be able to make that big of a sacrifise. And I thank them for that.
ReplyDelete2. The article I read was called "Bubbles of Energy are found in galaxy". Something big is going on at the center of the galaxy. They had discovered two bubbles of energy erupting from the center of the Milky Way galaxy. One posibility is that they are fueled by a wave of star births and deaths at the center of the galaxy. "And we think we know a lot about our own galaxy." The bubbles were almost as big as the galaxy and yet unsuspected until now. "This shows again that the universe is full of surprises." The particles manifested themselves as a haze of extra energy after all the known sources of gamma rays the most energetic form of etectromagnetic radiation - had been subtracted from fermi data that had recently been made public. "Dark matter has been there billions of years."
1) I wasn’t there but I think for the assembly. But I think that veterans is all but support the troop who fought for us in all the wars and honor them in what they do. I think that everyone in the war should be looked at as a hero.
ReplyDelete2) In the newspaper I was reading about how Haiti had a disease and it was spread and it was getting so bad that other country was getting it and they need help.
I think the assembly was very cool and I’m glad that a bunch of war veterans took time out of their day to come to a high school and tell them their story because I think when they tell their stories a lot of bad memories come to mind. I also think that we should be more thankful to veteran not just on Veterans Day but every day because they fought to protect America and life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
ReplyDeletePAYING FOR PINSTRIPES Without Lifers Like Jeter Yankees Lose Their Aura.
ReplyDeleteThis article is about the shortstop for the New York Yankees Derek Jeter. This article says that if the Yankees lost Jeter (Mariano Rivera and Jorge Posada) they would be a bunch of “mercenaries in pinstripes” because they keep acquiring high priced talent. Derek Jeter Mariano Rivera and Jorge Posada are the only players who have been on the Yankees their entire career. The article is kind of amusing because Derek Jeter’s value in the Bronx is double his actual value the article says that Jeter’s value in the Bronx is about $20 million a season, his actual value is around $10-11 million. So the Yankees are going to pay extra to keep Jeter (Derek Jeter is currently a free agent). In the paper they also said a lot of good things like “He is a team leader who never gets into trouble in an era rife with athlete misbehavior and discontent” which is very true. Derek Jeter is also only 74 hits away from having 3000 hits which is a great achievement in baseball. This article is important to us and our country because baseball is America’s past time.
the assembly was sad for me may not be for others because i have people in my family who have died in war and died over seas for our country and my grandpa is a vietnam veteran. and he suffers from being in the war every day. im glad that the veterans that came to our school took the time to come explain what the veterans day means to them and they kind of influenced others to realize that veterans day is not just a day off of school its to honor the ones who fight and die for our country that we live in but the assembly depressed me...
ReplyDeleteTo me, the assembly was really an eye opener. I never thought of the army as an way to change your life. I always thought that the people who served in the war did it because they just wanted to, but most of the people who spoke today said that they did it to have more opportunities in the future. Also, most of them agreed that out of everything that they experienced in the war, the hardest part was having to say goodbye to their family and friends. To me, it showed how brave they were and I am thankful that they are willing to go and fight for our country.
ReplyDelete"Nazi Survivor Fund Defreauded By Its Officials, U.S. Alleges"
This article is about how people work and try to help repay the people who were affected by the Holocaust. The coporation discovered that majority of the people that they were repaying were lying. People reused pictures and lied about their name and ages. They were doing it for about sixteen years, and employees just started recognizing the pictures. They are estimated to have defrauded up to 42 million dollars from the German government.
Veterans day when we honor our Brave and Noble Veterans. They have endured things we cannot even possibly imagine. To put your life on the line for your country has to be bravest thing someone can do. They had to eliminate alive people you must be extremely strong willed to keep going on after that. Veterans gave us everything we find dear in our lives. Veterans should be honored everyday.
ReplyDeletemy reaction to the the Veterans day assembly was that i thought it was a vary nice thing to do for the veterans. and im sure they liked talking to us about there war experiencis, just as much as liked hearing all about it. i thank them for taking time out of there day to talk to us, im sur it wasnt easy talking about that subject in there life. I also thank them for fighting for us in war. Thank you all Veterans.
ReplyDeletethe article I found most important was called Bubbles of Energy Are Found In Galaxy. astronomers found two bubbles of energy from the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. The bubbles of energy are unknown we dont know how they got there and scientists don’t really know much about it. the two bubbles are fueled by a wave of star births and deaths. this is all happing in the In the center of the galaxy. this is important to me becuse what if this bubbles can kill us all. like how people say were going to die in 2012. so it is important to me and are country.
Dear all veterans,
ReplyDeleteI would like to say thank you for all that you have done for the American people and this country. Without any of you the world would not be where it is today. You all risk your life everyday just for the well-being of this country and the American people. Again thank you for all you have done.
Although I was absent for the assembly, I would like to say thank you to all the veterans. One article I found online pretty much talked about how much the army and other veterans do for America.
To me veterens day is a day were we oner our troops who have served in and branch. Some people concider veterans day just a day of of school I think in my eyes that’s horrible.
ReplyDeleteI found the article very impacting. I found myself feeling proud but also very sad for the people that lost their lives in any and every war there has been. My pastor was in Vietnam; he talked about the same stuff that the article talked about. It was sad, how it talked about people being mentally deranged and how some came home without their legs and arms. I have always found war to be a barbaric and unethical, and horribly scarring, but for U.S. citizens to be free it is needed. Freedom is not free; war veterans are the perfect example of that. They go and fight for their country patriotically, and sometimes lose their lives. These are the people that served our country and were ready to fight and die on a moment’s notice for their land and what they believed in. These are the people that die with honor and love from everyone U.S. citizen. Thank You Veterans.
ReplyDeleteIt talked about veterans obviously. It talked about the wars and how they had to deal with deaths and their friends dying and not being able to eat some days, not being able to be with family. It was hard times for veterans and soldiers in active duty. i didn't get the article Mr. S i wasnt there.
My reaction to the assembly today was good and intrested. I though it was very intresting and I though it was very intresting to hear from all the veterans and to hear the storys from their war and the people and relationships they have made along the way. It also talked about how some were drafted and they went to for example vietnam to fight the war and had all these rules and how some were in WW2 ad they couldnt believe the reactions from the other soldiers and knowing you might have to shoot at another human being. They also talked about the sad feeling you get when you have to leave your family and you have to leave your friends and even boyfriends and or girlfriends to server your country but lastly it is also a very honarable job to be able to serve your country like that
ReplyDelete1. I have a very strong connection to Veteran’s Day. I was born military brat in San Diego Naval Hospital in Feb 95. My dad just got back from a six month deployment to the far east. My mother had to take care of my brother and carry me around the entire time Both of my parents were active duty Navy & both have since retired. My parents have a several friends and acquaintances who were military. My parents have told me on several occasions that they would love to go back in and serve if given the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteThey are both very proud of their service & our house has reminders of the service they gave. Veterans Day is always near and dear to them. It reminds them of friends from long ago. My dad tells me military service is not a choice but a want. You have to want to serve your country, you have want to go into harms way if called upon, you have to want the life.
I am proud of both my parents and maybe I won’t go into the military but I can carry a little of the heritage by honoring those who have gone like my parent and those who are willing to go afterwards by honoring their special day. Veterans Day.
The article I chose was: Driver Beware: Deer Collisions Peak in Mating Season
Insurance companies are informing their customers to beware when driving at dusk during the Deer mating season from October through December. The incidence between Deer and vehicle have increased 21% in the last two years compared to five years ago. This is costing Insurance companies billions annually in damage to vehicles , medical bills & human death. The insurance companies want drivers to beware that approximately 30 million deer have adapted to suburban life. A driver is most likely to encounter a deer in the midwest region especially during mating season. So beware when you see one deer crossing the street there might be several others as well.
http://www.car-accidents.com/pages/deer-accident-statistics.html
What I learned was Illinois is number three in deer collisions in the United States behind Michigan & Pennsylvania. Why this article is important to me is because I will be taking drivers education next semester and I need to know this while I learn how to drive.
I picked the article, “Stage Set for Showdown on Online Privacy”. This article is about a “do not track” option on a web site or a browser. Susan Grant from the Consumer Federation of America thinks what is good for the consumer is good for business. Some marketers hate the “do not track” feature because turning off tracking will make interconnected systems unable to communicate with each other. This article is important because do not track can affect anyone who uses a computer. If there is an article that affects anyone, then I consider that article to be important.

I learned that online ad networks install files to computers of people who go on certain websites and that people can block cookies from third party websites through a setting in a web browser.
For the Veterans Day assembly, I like that the veterans engaged in specific discussions about their adventure in the assembly. I like that each veteran shared his and her personal experience in the military.
First of all I would like to thank the veterans for all they have done by serving in the United States armed forces . I enjoyed the assembly because I got to see what it means to be an American hero. One of them is a substitute teacher that I have never known that he served in the arm. Even though many of the war veterans that were present in the assembly all fought different wars, they all connected, even though they were years apart from each other. It’s a wonderful thing to see all of the veterans from different wars, but one thing that really got my attention was the fact that my generation that can change and do a lot in the next generation history. So again id like to thank the vets that protected our country.
